Murray’s refined porcelain objects carry enormous beauty, power and meaning. Regarded as one of Canada’s finest ceramic artists, this Quebec resident has received many honours and awards. Murray’s pieces can be found in museums, collections and galleries worldwide, and have been given to dignitaries such as US President George W. Bush and UN Secretary Kofi Annan by the Canadian government.

This particular wall-hanging work is composed of delicately interwoven strands of curved porcelain. Set against a deep blue sheet of aluminum, the cream coloured ceramic reflects softly in the aluminum’s resin-coated surface, adding depth to the already dynamic composition.
