About Peter Peri

Rigorous detail coupled with pared-down lines and shapes lend Peter Peri’s two- and three-dimensional works an ethereal fragility. An exemplar of Peri’s sustained engagement with Modernism, Linear Woman (Reclining), 2009, is a drawing on paper of a subtly optical maze of narrow planks at sharp angles to one another. Geometric abstraction pervades Peri’s oeuvre, particularly his collection of mixed media paintings (2005-2010), which feature finely delineated architectural shapes on black canvas.
