Founded in 2005 by Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, Random International is a collaborative studio for experimental practice within contemporary art based in London and Berlin. Questioning aspects of human identity and technology in the post-digital age, Random International’s work invites active participation. Past projects include Temporary Printing Machine (2011), a reactive UV screen that takes transient portraits of the viewer and Rain Room (2012), an immersive, large-scale environment of responsive rainfall.
