René Gruau was a fashion illustrator for his stylized and larger than life portrayals of style and models. Echoing the style of Toulouse-Lautrec, he quickly created a name for himself illustrating haute couture gowns for fashion houses such as Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Dior.
