The scene depicts a lone gray cabin on a blue ground with a figure on the front stairs, which is reflective of Jones' design sensibilities; a pared down, dramatic environment. The play opened in Columbus, Ohio on February 20th, 1947, the first of O'Neill's plays to have premiered outside of New York

Condition Report: Light wear to the edges of the board with heavier wear to the lower left corner, scattered moisture stains to the lighter blue ground, not examined outside of frame.
