About Ron Amato
Ron Amato’s sensuous photographs experiment with the possibilities of light and explore the contours and connotations of the human body, among other subjects. His work tends to employ a backlit, heroically posed mythical style that raises the human figure to a certain level of reverence and questions ideas of beauty in all of its varied contexts. Amato has also explored historical and geographical themes in his documentary photographs of Italy, among them the art history embedded in Florence and the idyllic seaside town of Cinque Terre.
