Sandy Gellis
Sandy Gellis is an artist working with and in the environment, including installation, site-specific sculpture, drawings, etching and digital prints. Using earth, wind, water and air as her palette, Gellis investigates the unseen natural forces that shape us, making the unseen seen. Her work is in many major collections including the Brooklyn Museum, New York, NY; The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY; the Portland Art Museum, Portland, OR; The Fogg Art Gallery, Harvard University, Boston, MA; and Library of Congress, Washington, D.C. Her work has been exhibited at The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA; Harvard University Art Museums, Boston, MA; The Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, OH; A.I.R. Gallery, New York, NY; and the Storefront for Art and Architecture, New York, NY; among many others.
