Sara-Vide Ericson’s mysterious realist paintings explore the way humans interact with nature. The Swedish artist describes herself as a “hunter-gatherer painter”—Ericson’s compositions are often based on her experiences in the landscape around her home in Hälsingland, Sweden, which the artist photographs and uses for inspiration. Ericson attended the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and has exhibited extensively throughout both Sweden and Denmark. She has also shown in New York, Paris, and Berlin. Her work belongs to multiple prominent collections, including the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Uppsala Art Museum, and the Pizzuti Collection of the Columbus Museum of Art.
