Saskia Friedrich was born in Germany. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 1990. She has shown in multiple venues in NYC and the East End. Friedrich’s work draws on multiple systems of thought and fields of interest, including human rights advocacy; architecture in green and fantastical forms, sustainable cities, bio structures, floating cities; and the Sufi tradition. She works with vividly colored fabric that she cuts and arranges in abstract compositions on planar surfaces Today she continues to concern herself with art as expressed as environment and the relationship to oneself and others.
