About Satyendra Pakhalé

Indian-born industrial designer Satyendra Pakhalé is based in Amsterdam, where he has had his own studio since 1998. Fusing technology, architecture, and design, he sets out to improve the quality of life by simple tweaks in common objects, like the Add-on radiator system, which blurs the line between decoration and function. He also creates furniture and objects with the sensibility of three-dimensional graphics, such as his Fish chairs, or vases that resemble the female body. His work is not only modern, but also can verge on futuristic—he has already created a walking stick meant to help future citizens of the moon.
