Sculpted group of cast iron with polychrome and golden patina. Black marble base.
Art Deco period. Scali is characterized by his feminine and animal subjects treated elegantly. By the quality he gives to details (delicacy of the features of the face, motifs of the chiseled dress). To be compared to the great sculptor of the period, Demetrius Chiparus for the graceful postures of his slender characters. This french artist pays tribute to the complicity between woman and animals, including wild ones as is the case here.
Signature: Signed incised on the marble base.
