About Sit

Sit abandoned commercial work as a digital creative in 2008 and returned to painting with traditional media. Known for his figurative images that combine a loose, inky style with surreal imagery of beautiful women and animals, Sit is interested in the relationship between mankind and the animal kingdom. In his 2011 “Noir” series, he juxtaposes animal skulls and furs with nude women to illustrate “the malicious blackness gnawing away at the edges of our sense of beauty.”
