Makers’ Mark: The 2014 MAD Biennial Opens its Doors to New York’s Top Creatives
William made this cuff for Steven. It is made with 19th century antique metal beads, thread, and a contemporary tubular silver clasp. It is constructed with peyote stitch with beaded carriers on either end connecting to the clasp. The beads used transition across the cuff, dissolving from brass into dark steel and back to brass. Two square motifs of navy beads at either end are bordered by faded red beads.
Cuff dimensions: 7 3/8 x 2 x 3/8 inches.
