Study O Portable, ‘Glass Cabinet’, 2012, Caroline Van Hoek

Invented by award winning London based design duo. A strong and flexible cabinet that comes with a set of 16 glass panels of your choice either clear, engraved or black. The cabinet is very easy to mount yet strong and the steel gets just the perfect patina with time. Allowing to hold for over 30 kgs of weight each glass panel, it is a perfect cabinet to display your collection of books, art, glass or ceramic. With the glass panels that can be mounted as desired, one can adapt to the size of the works or the viewing angle desired since one can leave or add the panels of choice.

About Study O Portable

Blurring the line between art and design, London-based firm Study O Portable creates small objects whose appearance pay homage to both their functions and fabrication processes. Founded in 2009 by Dutch accessories designer Bernadette Deddens and Japanese fashion designer Tetsuo Mukai, the husband-wife teamed studio creates everything from sand hourglasses to neon alphabetical letters to handpainted leather bracelets. They present and organize exhibitions internationally, and focus on handcrafted pieces which—as the name suggests—travel well.
