About Sylvain Willenz
Brussels-born designer Sylvain Willenz creates clear and simple forms, finding inspiration in the most common everyday objects and basic materials. He founded his studio in 2004 after graduating from the Royal College of Art in London. His inquisitive style experiments with familiar forms, drawing from unexpected places like cartoons and geometry, as in his elegant Shapes mirrors, which feature elongated two-toned elementary forms, or in the unusual shapes and techniques he created in glass in collaboration with the research center CIRVA. In addition to furniture and design objects, he has also created technology pieces, including labeled flash drives that reference cassette tapes and floppy disks.
