Taca Sui, ‘A Survey of the Landscape in the Poems ’, China Institute Gallery

Taca(塔可) studied the earliest collection of Chinese poems “The Book of Songs (《诗经》)”and visited the places mentioned in the poems in today’s China. He then completed a project called "A Survey of the Landscape in the Poems”(《诗山河考》). His works trace back to the historical sites of the ancient Chinese poems and depict what they look like today. They are poetic and mysterious, evoking nostalgic feelings for what has been lost over the past three thousand years in the Chinese landscape since these ancient poems were written. Taca won the Grand Prize of the 2010 Lianzhou International Photography Festival in China.
