Terri Gold, ‘Silent Dune, Namib Desert’, 2016, Watermill Center Summer Benefit Auction 2016

Claiming the title of “visual archaeologist,” photographer Terri Gold is celebrated for her infrared portraiture of indigenous cultures and ritual. Influenced by early explorers-turned-photographers, Gold takes her cameras through deserts and remote villages, capturing the diversity that the world has to offer. Gold is the winner of numerous awards, among them the Prix de la photographie.
