Foggy Poem, 2016
From the series Bonita returns with his narrative "portraits" of boats. These, like the work of his co exhibitors, use subjects as visual tropes for human emotion and experience to create narrative and evocative stories. In this series Bonita returns to the humble, floating rowboat, tethered and adrift on rippling and smooth waters. Bonita, an award-winning artist, graduated the Art Institute of Boston and continued his post baccalaureate study of classical painting and drawing at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. He periodically attends the French Academy.
