The Maharam Serpentine Galleries Wallpaper collection is created by esteemed artists and architects under the curatorial direction of Julia Peyton-Jones and Hans Ulrich Obrist of the highly influential Serpentine Galleries in London. This uneditioned series follows a traditional format of small-scale repeat modules and a narrow 27" width while utilizing advanced digital printing techniques for complex, high-resolution imagery in a full-color spectrum. Durable and easy to maintain, the Maharam Serpentine Galleries Wallpaper collection is printed with UV-resistant inks on a washable, latex-reinforced substrate.
For Ume, Toyo Ito looked to the natural yet complex branching system of the Japanese plum tree. The intertwining branches form a canopy under a clear blue sky.
