Tristan Pigott (b. 1990, France) grew up in Sussex (England). His lives and works in London.

After completing his Wimbledon Art Foundation course in 2009, he then went on to complete a Painting BA (Hons) at Camberwell College of Arts between 2009-2012.

Pigott has honed in on his own unique brand of highly detailed figurative painting. Playing around with the notion of how human ego is translated into image; the artist’s work falls somewhere in between realism and the surreal. His abstract compositions often address the difference between performance and reality. Never shy to visually critique the importance we place on image and perception, the artist’s latest paintings offer up a further exploration of these themes.

Since graduating, he has had his work featured in several group exhibition in London including: ‘Peek Show’ at the Biscuit Factory (2011), ‘Flock’ at GX Gallery (2012), ‘Seven Artists’ at The Strand Gallery (2013), ‘First Seven’ at Bemondsey Project Space (2013), Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2015), BP Portrait Award (2015). ‘Of Fragments’ at MC Motors (2015) His solo exhibitions include: ‘Act Natural’ (2013-2014) and ‘Changing Looks’ (2014-2015) at GX Gallery.
