Depicting a long spiral galaxy, SG-m1 is a motorized construction of resin and treelike brass tendrils that orbit an axis driven by electrical pulses. Using celestial motion as a metaphor for spiritual discovery, Choe expresses in this work an ageless curiosity of creation and the origins of life.
