Brazil is home to the some of the world's most important gem deposits. These deposits were created as far back as 540 million years ago when orogenic belts (Fold Mountains) were formed from the collision of tectonic plates. For years, these deposits have been mined for gem quality specimens. This stunning piece of Tourmaline was mined from one such deposit and exhibits hundreds of beautiful pinkish-violet Rubellite crystal sprays on a snowy white Quartz and creamy Albite matrix. This impressive natural piece has been mounted on an acrylic base with a custom metal armature which securely holds this incredible specimen in an appealing manner. The decorative specimen is in excellent condition and is sure to add a degree of drama into any space. The bubblegum Tourmaline contrasts sharply with a stark white matrix. Overall Measurements: 7.68 x 9.45 x 16.93 inches (19.50 x 24.00 x 43.00 cm) [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
