Miss Holtzmann, a great admirer of Mr Winston Churchill, has followed in the footsteps of the great man by taking up painting as a recreation and has exhibited at the Leicester Square Galleries. But she has turned from putting paint to canvas and her main occupational interest now lies in sculpture. She has come to this country to receive instruction from the great master at the same time acting as his model. Note: American painter Fanny Holtzmann (b.1902-1980) was also one of Hollywood's leading entertainment lawyers during the mid-twentieth century, rare for a woman of her time. Her clients and friends were celebrities including Gertrude Lawrence, Noel Coward, George Bernard Shaw, Sir Lawrence Oliver, Vivian Leigh, Daphne du Maurier, Fred Astaire, Syrie and William Somerset Maugham. Many of them purchased Holtzmann's works and encouraged her to pursue art. Fanny began painting during the 1940s, and created still life's featuring arrangements of bright colored flowers.
