“Rotary” is a medium-sized freestanding steel sculpture. The primary form is a triangle with a large circular hole, mounted to a cross-shaped support base. Seven small curved flat pieces are suspended playfully around and through the frame of the triangle and hole in a seemingly revolving intersecting geometric whirl. The sculpture is protected with a powdercoat finish color – a baked-on industrial coating designed to withstand indoor or outdoor conditions. “Rotary” is fully three-dimensional and asymmetrical. Each of its perspectives conveys a different dynamic. The cable-tensioned components are stationary. The piece is appropriate for display on a low pedestal or any solid surface in an open area viewable from multiple angles. The bright colors and lively shapes will add drama to any decor, in either indoor or outdoor settings.
