About Virginia Wagner
Virginia Wagner’s surrealistic paintings investigate the conflict between human progress and the natural world. A feminist, figurative artist, her early interest in mythology and landscape soon led her to Berlin, where she joined the New Leipzig School. Wagner’s vibrant tableaux are offset by her fluid brushwork and Escher-like optics.
