Series: This still life is a expression of the human soul. The “spirits” that appear in this still life are the mystical essence of the human soul that cannot be explained and controlled. Within the still life, the objects help define what the spirit figures might represent or express. For example, the globe is spiritual karma. Karma for this artist are the forces that are part of his fate in this and any future existence. The elephant, that he views as noble and intelligent, are the deep and honest forces that drive his actions. While not privy to the artist’s feelings, the viewer can for themselves associate the figures reaching toward the sky some related symbolism and meaning.
