Will Ryan, ‘Luminifirous’, 2016, LongHouse Reserve: Benefit Auction 2018

Will Ryan’s life is not unlike his art; influenced by the elements and rhythms of nature, both external and internal. A native of New Jersey who cut his adult artist’s teeth in New York City, Will’s inspirations and creations have manifested in both the worlds of fine art and commercial art. As a painter and explorer of other mediums, his art has been shown everywhere from the Ruben Museum in New York City to the Charles Lindbergh Estate in Maui, and many galleries and private collections in between. Though an avid traveler, Will, like many an artist before him, fell in love with the light and texture of the East End of Long Island and today does the majority of his work from his studio in The Hamptons. His commercial successes as a photographer include countless album and book covers as well as many award winning advertising campaigns and editorial coverage. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, Will has shared his experiences and skills with art students as a guest lecturer at his alma mater as well as guest teaching at The Rhode Island School of Design and the Hampton’s own Victor D’Amico Institute of Art. In addition to being a visual artist, Will is also an accomplished musician, performance artist and poet.
