Yung Jake, a Los Angeles-based visual artist and rapper, is best known for generating music videos that reflect on how digital art, social media, and shifting perceptions of reality inform modern culture. He first gained recognition in 2012 with an interactive music video called “E.m-bed.de/d.” Yung Jake later created a virtual reality performance via an app that enables users to view a three-dimensional avatar of the artist. Beyond video, Yung Jake explores the intersection of technology and art through installations of digital monitors and scrap metal sculptures adorned with images from the internet.
