500 Capp Street: Silent Benefit Auction 2023

The David Ireland House at 500 Capp Street in San Francisco is the historic home turned work of art created by the late, pioneering conceptual artist David Ireland. 500 Capp Street presents exhibitions and educational programs celebrating Ireland's artistic legacy, and hosts collaborative events to strengthen San Francisco's cultural community—bringing together artists, scholars, teachers, students, and the public—as Ireland's home did during his lifetime.

500 Capp Street’s second annual Benefit Auction features works from the estate of legendary Artspace founder Anne MacDonald, including pieces by some of the Bay Area’s seminal artists from the 1980s and 90s. Bid on works by Nayland Blake, David Dashiell, Karen Finley, Paul Kos, Tony Labat, Tom Marioni, Irene Pijoan, Rigo, Tony Oursler, Jenny Holzer, and more.

Bidding for the silent auction will launch on Artsy on Thursday, September 21st at 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM EDT), and will begin to close on Friday, October 6th at 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM EDT).

Auction works will be on view at 500 Capp Street during our Benefit Auction event on Thursday, October 5th - purchase your tickets to join us for a celebratory evening featuring performances, festivities, hors d'oeuvres, and libations by registering here.

Artworks will ship from San Francisco, CA, and all shipping costs and applicable fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
