Art of Wishes: Live Charity Auction 2023

Art of Wishes is a charitable initiative that brings the international art community together to raise funds for Make-A-Wish UK. Founded by philanthropist Batia Ofer in 2017, Batia’s curatorial vision for the auction is not facilitated by blind donations but instead curated with a finger on the pulse of the modern art world and will be auctioned on Artsy and closing at The Art of Wishes Gala on 9th October at Raffles London at The OWO. This year over 30 high calibre artists have donated a combination of paintings and sculptures.

A preview of the artworks will be taking place at the Art of Wishes exhibition at Christie’s in London from 4th to 7th October 2023. All monies raised by the sale of these works will enable Make-A-Wish UK to grant magical wishes to help transform the lives of children living with critical illnesses.

Make-A-Wish UK is a registered charity that was established in the UK in 1986 to support children and young people diagnosed with a critical illness or life-limiting condition, by granting them their wish. Since 2017, Art of Wishes has raised over £9m for Make-A-Wish UK enabling them to grant thousands of wishes for children living with critical illnesses. A wish has the power to cut through the gruelling daily reality of life with a critical illness; bringing true magic back to the childhoods of those most in need. Together, families can create lasting memories to treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

There are currently 60,000 children living with a critical condition in the UK. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. By supporting this auction you will not only have the opportunity to buy unique works by incredible artists, your support will also help enable more wishes come true for critically ill children.

In advance of the auction, browse lots and place max bids before live bidding begins on Monday, October 9th at 9.45pm BST (4.45pm EDT).

When the sale opens, all pre-registered Artsy users can participate and watch the bidding unfold in real time. Any registration after Monday, October 9th at 4.30pm BST 11.30pm EDT) will be held pending review.
