Artists for a New Georgia: Benefit Auction 2020

Artsy is proud to present Artists for a New Georgia: Benefit Auction 2020, to benefit the New Georgia Project Action Fund.

The New Georgia Project Action Fund (NGPAF) is a non-partisan organization founded by Stacey Abrams in 2014. At the forefront of registering, organizing and mobilizing voters in Georgia, NGPAF has registered more than 500,000 new Georgia voters since its inception and is now driving first-time voters to Georgia’s January 5th runoff election. Funds are urgently needed to continue knocking on hundreds of thousands of doors to Get Out the Vote between now and January 5th.

Artists For a New Georgia was created to support the NGPAF’s effort to get out the vote for Georgia’s two senate runoff races on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Artists included in this Auction have been inspired and motivated to donate their work in support of the effort. “The eyes of the nation are on these crucial senate races,” said Michael E. Shapiro, Director Emeritus, High Museum of Art. “Art has the power to change the world, and we hope this movement will galvanize voter turnout.”

Proceeds from the Auction will support this urgent need, helping to ensure that everyone in the State of Georgia has a voice in the upcoming runoff election.
