Broadway Housing Communities: Benefit Auction 2023

Broadway Housing Communities (BHC) celebrates its 40th anniversary as a nationally recognized pioneer of high-impact solutions to the challenges of deep generational poverty and homelessness. Pairing permanent affordable housing with high quality early childhood programs and access to the arts, BHC generates lasting, meaningful change for homeless and at-risk children and families. Located at the epicenter of the Harlem Renaissance, BHC’s Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling invites visitors to discover and engage with the work of accomplished legacy and contemporary artists, storytellers and musicians, and to create and share their own artwork and stories.

Support BHC by bidding in this year's benefit auction featuring three (3) exceptional studio visits by past Sugar Hill Museum exhibiting artists Derek Forjour, Lucia Hierro, and LaKela Brown and including over 40 works by top emerging and established contemporary artists such as John Ahearn, Katherine Bradford, Taína Cruz, Alteronce Gumby, February James, Amanda Means, Shellyne Rodriguez, Nari Ward and so many more!

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close at 12pm EDT on November 29.

The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Each lot closes in 1-minute increments and will be reset to 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the 2 minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ
