Since its founding in 1971, The Bronx Museum has been at the intersection of art and social justice, empowering our communities through vital cultural and educational resources. It has long championed the people of the Bronx, working to advance the rich local culture that has influenced contemporary artists and inspired audiences across the city and beyond. It presents 6-12 exhibitions each year of work by contemporary artists, serves over 12,000 underserved youth annually providing access to arts education, and has provided over 1,300 emerging artists with professional development training and opportunities.
