Children's Museum of the Arts: Benefit Auction 2023
Children's Museum of the Arts (CMA) presents an Utterly Ambitious Evening – a gala and auction event dedicated to enhancing arts accessibility and promoting equity in the arts. Taking place on October 18th, 2023 at David Zwirner, the gala serves as an essential fundraising initiative for the CMA’s Emergency Arts Education Fund. This fund, designed to combat the continual budget cuts in arts programs, encourages change within communities by working directly within schools with decimated arts programs. The Emergency Arts Education Fund reimagines how arts education works, placing artists at the center of teaching and learning and providing NYC students with crucial time in the arts classroom.
Featured artists include Calida Rawles, Lucien Smith, Tomashi Jackson, JJ Manford, Arlene Shechet, Madeline Donahue, Emily Mae Smith, Emilie Louise Gossiaux, and Ficus Interfaith.
Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy beginning Wednesday, October 4th at 12pm EDT and will begin to close on Thursday, October 19th at 12pm EDT.
Children’s Museum of the Arts unites children and artists to create and share ambitious works of art with their communities and the world. Since 1988, Children’s Museum of the Arts has been changing the way people value our youngest artists and their aesthetic contributions to the world. By taking our programs directly into schools, community-based organizations, galleries, and public spaces, we continue to challenge and expand what a museum is. Entirely free.
Each work ships from a different location, as noted on the individual lot pages. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Each lot closes in 1-minute increments and will be reset to 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the 2 minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ.
