The American Folk Art Museum (AFAM) and Artsy are excited to present For Folk’s Sake! Contemporary Artists x the American Folk Art Museum featuring works by cutting-edge artists. Proceeds from this auction will be used to support innovative exhibitions and education programs, as well as ensure free access to its online resources, archives, and library and make up for significant lost revenue caused by the global pandemic.

This auction is unique as AFAM has carefully selected a range of professional artists who are inspired by or collect self-taught art, art brut, and historical folk art.

Artists have long played a crucial role in the artistic recognition and support of self-taught artists and are uniquely positioned to give voice to those outside of the mainstream.
