Inema Arts Center: Benefit Auction 2023 Dedicated to Rwandan Culture

An all-star line-up of artists from across the world has come together to support the Inema Arts Center with this exclusive auction, open only on Artsy from June 21 – July 5 2023. Featured artists include Emmanuel Nkuranga, Nao Bustamante and Cindy Bonaparte among many others. Proceeds will benefit Inema Arts Center, which is a haven to many artists, as well as the Kigali community who rely heavily on the center for cultural support and art mentorship.

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close on 5 July 2023 at 12 PM EDT.

Founded in 2012, Inema Arts Center spurs creativity for personal, social and economic growth. Inema was started in order to tap the untapped potential art in Rwanda, to use creative expression as a way to bring the community and country alive and lastly to provide exposure to creative people and create opportunities for Rwanda’s most underserved communities while using creativity for a productive livelihood. Today, Inema Arts Center has become a beacon in Rwanda for cultivating creative expression. The proceeds from auction go to the Inema Arts Center to assist them in raising funds to buy their own building to house their bustling pod in the Kigali creative community.

Each work ships from a different location, as noted on the individual lot pages. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Each lot closes in 1-minute increments and will be reset to 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the 2 minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ.
