Kasmin Gallery for Artistic Noise: Benefit Auction 2024

Kasmin, in collaboration with Artsy, is proud to present the second annual online auction in support of Artistic Noise, a Harlem-based nonprofit that creates artistic, entrepreneurial, and therapeutic experiences for young people whose lives have been impacted by the juvenile court system, foster care system, mental health care system, and more. Artistic Noise’s programming supports their community of young artists across a variety of needs and creates safe and celebratory spaces where system-impacted young people can be seen, heard, and supported on their pathways to adulthood.

Participating artists will generously donate the proceeds of the sale of their artwork to Artistic Noise. To supplement the online iteration of the auction, all of the works will be on view at Kasmin on Monday, May 13 from 12-6 PM, with a public celebration to follow from 6-8 PM. The artists include:

Diana Al-Hadid, Sara Anstis, Kate Barbee, Judith Bernstein, Ian Davenport, Francesco Igory Deiana, Walton Ford, vanessa german, Emilie Louise Gossiaux, Emmet Gowin, Elizabeth Hazan, Elliott Hundley, Misha Japanwala, Ali Kaeini, Lee Krasner, Lyn Liu, Joel Mesler, Christopher Myers, Chris Oh, Caleb Hanhe Quintana, Jamel Robinson, Mark Ryden, Emil Sands, Jan-Ole Schiemann, and Danny Sobor.

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close at 12:00 PM EDT on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

For over 20 years, Artistic Noise has created art in collaboration with thousands of young people who are incarcerated, on probation, in foster care, unhoused, or otherwise impacted by the juvenile court system. Through a variety of free programs and paid positions for teens and young adults, Artistic Noise strives to enhance people’s lives through the empowering and therapeutic potential of art making. Working with a diverse and vibrant team of artists, activists, therapists, and educators, Artistic Noise participants give voice to their lived experiences, build community through collaborative projects, and explore a variety of valuable life skills in the process.
