Laguna Art Museum: California Cool Benefit Auction 2024

Laguna Art Museum presents the 42nd Annual California Cool Art Auction, Benefit & Bash!

The California Cool Art Auction features many of Southern California's most notable artists. This auction brings together a collection of over 120 high-quality artworks that have been carefully vetted to ensure that art buyers of all experience levels and preferences find an artwork they love.

For over four decades, Laguna Art Museum and the artist community have worked together to raise funds, support our historically rich, future-forward museum and help many build incredible collections of art.

Auction works are available to preview in person at Laguna Art Museum now through March 4, 2024.

Online bidding for the auction will open beginning February 16 and will ** begin to close at 9:00 a.m. PST (12 p.m. EST) on Monday, March 4, 2024.**

Join us for an exclusive California Cool Benefit & Bash at Laguna Art Museum on Saturday, March 2nd from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The event will ** feature a silent and live auction with additional lots, exclusive to that evening**—bringing together artists, collectors, and the community to celebrate California culture. To make the night even more lively, we have invited auctioneer Zack Krone, considered the best in the business, to host the auction. When it comes to fundraisers, the Art Auction delivers an action-packed evening full of great energy, fantastic art, amazing people and a party atmosphere that cannot be beat. Our goal is to raise over $400,000 through the sale of artwork and a paddle-raise to connect as many people young people as possible to the joy of art through Laguna Art Museum’s educational endeavors in the year ahead.

Laguna Art Museum is partnering with Goodman Shipping to facilitate all shipping needs of the California Cool Art Auction 2024. We require art handling services to adhere to museum best practices and will not accept alternative shippers. If you would like to pick up your artwork from Laguna Art Museum, appointments will be available starting Wednesday, March 6th, 2024.

Shipping costs and sales tax (7.75%) are the responsibility of the buyer and will be processed separately from the winning bid. All artworks will ship from Laguna Beach, CA as noted on the lot page. For inquiries regarding shipping please email specialist@artsy.net.

Applicable sales tax will apply to all works shipped to and within the United States. Please note, for purchases under $50,000 your card will automatically be charged for the Total Purchase Price, including but not limited to any applicable buyer’s premium, shipping, and sales tax, based on your registration address. For transactions over $50,000, we will reach out to you with instructions on how to complete your purchase via wire transfer.
