NOISE FOR NOW: Benefit Auction for Abortion Access 2022
With the federal protections of Roe v Wade eviscerated by the Supreme Court, 18 states have enacted abortion bans. Clinics in neighboring states and abortion funds that provide financial and logistical support are struggling to keep up with the increase in patients who must now travel across state lines for abortion care. The auction will raise urgently-needed funds for the independant clinics (Abortion Care Network / Keep Our Clinics) and abortion funds (National Network of Abortion Funds) that are on the frontlines of the fight to protect abortion access in the US.
Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close at 12:00 pm MST (2:00 pm EST) on Tuesday, November 29th 2022.
NOISE FOR NOW is a national initiative that enables artists and entertainers to connect with and financially support grassroots organizations that work in the field of Reproductive Justice, including abortion access. NOISE FOR NOW is the link between touring musicians, progressive promoters, athletes, artists and local reproductive rights organizations in cities across the country.
Reproductive health care services, including access to legal abortion, are under attack. By organizing benefit events and campaigns, NOISE FOR NOW provides opportunities for artists and entertainers to use their talent to raise money and send a clear message that Reproductive Rights are human rights.
Each work ships from a different location, as noted on the individual lot pages. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Donated artworks in this sale (except lot 1, 2, and 27) are registered on Fairchain, a platform charting the path towards a more equitable art market. The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Each lot closes in 1-minute increments and will be reset to 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the 2 minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ.
Applicable sales tax will apply to all works shipped to and within the US. Please note, your card will automatically be charged for the Total Purchase Price, buyer’s premium, shipping, and any applicable sales tax, based on your registration address. For transactions over $50,000, you will be given the option to pay via wire transfer.
