Silver Eye Center For Photography: Live Benefit Auction 2022

Silver Eye Center for Photography is the only nonprofit gallery and artist workspace in Western PA dedicated to promoting contemporary photography as a fine art form. Silver Eye supports emerging, mid-career, and under-recognized artists by creating original exhibitions and unique programming, and sharing this work with our audience in engaging and meaningful ways.

The biennial Silver Eye Benefit Auction is our most important fundraiser. Bidding in this auction supports our exhibitions, our artists, and our educational programs, and keeps our gallery and programs free and open to all. Programs like Radial Survey, which brings together photographers living outside of major art centers who are asking important questions, and Fellowship, which recognizes talent in Pennsylvania and internationally, depend on this auction.

The pieces in this auction represent some of the most talented, generous, and creative artists working in photography today, along with several icons of photography, and we are humbled by the generous donations from artists, estates, and individuals in support of our mission.

In advance of the auction, browse lots and place max bids before live bidding begins on Saturday, October 22nd at 6:00pm EDT.

When the sale opens, all pre-registered Artsy users can participate and watch the bidding unfold in real time. Registration for the live auction will close on Saturday, October 22nd at 4:30pm EDT.

All artwork is sold framed. All lots ship from Pittsburgh, PA, after the auction ends on October 24, 2022. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

Applicable sales tax will apply to all works shipped within the U.S.
