The David C. Driskell Center: Benefit Auction 2023

Only on Artsy from September 12 to 26, 2023, The University of Maryland's Driskell Center will auction nearly 40 limited edition prints featuring a range of notable, contemporary Black artists including works from David C. Driskell, Faith Ringgold, Alison Saar, Richard Mayhew, and William T. Williams, among others.

The auction includes an exclusive 2023 print of the upcoming monumental sculpture by Mel Edwards, which will be erected at The Driskell Center in November of 2023.

All auction proceeds will support the operations of The Driskell Center, a creative incubator dedicated to a world where Black artists exist at its center. We invite inquiry, experimentation, and dialogue to reexamine histories and shape shared futures.

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close at 12pm EDT on Tuesday, September 26.

The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Each lot closes in 1-minute increments and will be reset to 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the 2 minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ.
