Venice Family Clinic Art Walk: Benefit Auction 2023
Venice Family Clinic is a nonprofit community health center in Los Angeles that provides quality primary care to 45,000 individuals at 17 locations from the Santa Monica mountains through the South Bay. For people experiencing homelessness, we have two mobile clinics and a street medicine program. We believe everyone deserves health care regardless of income, insurance, or immigration status.
From April 18 - May 4, you can join our family of supporters by bidding on hundreds of artworks by established, mid-career, and emerging artists such as Alex Anderson, John Baldessari, Billy Al Bengston, Tyler Christopher Brown, Pui Tiffany Chow, Mark di Suvero, Laddie John Dill, Kim Dorland, Charles Gaines, Rema Ghulom, Ruthanna Hopper, Saj Issa, Hannah Lupton Reinhard, Nathan Mabry, Max Maslansky, Ed Moses, Ramona Otto, Alicia Piller, Ed Ruscha, Edgar Ramirez, Richard Serra, Cole Sternberg, Jennifer Sullivan, Joey Wolf, Wen Long Ye and many more.
We are thrilled to announce our 2023 Venice Family Clinic Art Walk + Auction Signature Artist, Charles Gaines. We are honoring him this year because he is an incredible artist, a compassionate citizen, and a generous neighbor; he is truly a beacon for our cause.
Proceeds from auction sales fund the Clinic’s innovative, integrated approach, providing comprehensive services that address the unique combination of clinical and social factors that impact our patients’ health. Since 1979, when architect Frank Gehry and local artists such as Lita Albuquerque, John Baldessari, and Ed Ruscha organized an auction to ensure the Clinic's doors remained open, fellow artist-activists have donated thousands of artworks, raising more than $23 million over the past four decades.
