Artists Who Deserve Their Museum Moment
As art world spaces remain closed, many exhibitions have been canceled or postponed, including the first museum shows for emerging artists such as Salman Toor, Christina Quarles, and Derek Fordjour. In celebration and support for these artists, Artsy’s Curatorial team presents a selection of works by the artists impacted by museum closures, from Judy Chicago’s sacred geometries on paper to JR’s surreal photographs of the Louvre’s empty pavilion. In this time of need, Artsy will make a donation equal to 10% of the sales price of artworks acquired from this collection to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
