Year of the Tiger 2022
The Year of the Tiger is the third year in the Chinese lunar calendar. This year, we celebrate the Year of the Water Tiger, which occurs only every 60 years. In China, the tiger is known as the king of all beasts, symbolizing strength and bravery.
Examples of tigers throughout art history are vast. In celebration of the Chinese New Year, we present a curated selection of tiger-themed artworks on Artsy, featuring works by artists from various cultures such as Andy Warhol, Yang Yongliang, Nicolas Party, Hajime Sorayama, and more.
