New York Academy of Art - Artists for Artists: Benefit Auction 2021
The New York Academy of Art was founded in 1982 by artists, scholars and patrons of the arts, including Andy Warhol, to foster a resurgence in the training of figurative and representational art. The Academy has since developed into a 501 (c)(3) non-profit cultural institution housing the nation’s first graduate school of figurative art.
Artists for Artists Benefit Auction exists to provide funding for emerging artists to study at the New York Academy of Art. This year’s event takes place on December 14 at Sotheby's and honors Peter Saul. The auction features a wide and excellent variety of works from Academy students, alumni, faculty, and friends. Thank you to the many artists who have generously donated their work to support the next generation of artistic talent. As the name suggests, it is the true spirit of the event having artists donate their work to help provide a leg-up to those up and coming.
