Silver Eye Center for Photography: Benefit Auction 24
Silver Eye Center for Photography's Benefit Auction 24 includes work by Duane Michals, Melissa Catanese, Pixy Liao, and Alanna Fields, among 65 lots showcasing artists working in contemporary photography along with classics like Michals and displaying the breadth of photographic possibility today. All lots are donated by artists, foundations, and collectors. Register separately for the Live Auction, where fifty lots will be sold on October 19th, and the Silent Auction, where fifteen lots will be sold online only on October 21st.
The biennial Silver Eye Benefit Auction is our most important fundraiser. Proceeds support Silver Eye's mission and original and unique exhibitions and education program. Bidding on this auction helps us to provide material, financial, and curatorial support to emerging, mid career, and underrepresented artists, and keeps our gallery and programs free and open to all. Programs like Radial Survey, which brings together photographers living outside of major art centers who are asking important questions, and Fellowship, which recognizes talent in Pennsylvania and internationally, depend on this auction.
The pieces in this auction represent some of the most talented, generous, and creative artists working in photography today, along with several icons of photography, and we are humbled by the generous donations from artists, estates, and individuals in support of our mission.
