Eisenstaedt and Marilyn
GALLERY M
Alfred Eisenstaedt was considered the father of modern photojournalism. His journey included an encounter with Marilyn in 1953. As described to Myrna Hayutin by Eisenstaedt, this was no ordinary day with Marilyn. As explained in the corresponding video, Marilyn had Eisenstaedt in a bit of a fluster - simply because of her presence. The resulting photograph as seen here is one of his most recognized images.
