CAD (Computer Aided Design)

About

CAD (Computer Aided Design) is the use of computer software programs to aid in the creation, analysis, or optimization of a design. CAD output is in the form of an electronic file that can be used for the manufacture of an an object through techniques such as Lasercutting, 3D printing, thermoforming, and CNC milling. Contemporary architecture and industrial design is designed almost exclusively using CAD software; notable examples include works by Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid.
