One German art lover recently entered his blue period. Police are attempting to help the 76-year-old man who accidentally left a work by Pablo Picasso on a train earlier this month. The man was travelling between Kassel and Dusseldorf on February 15th when he switched trains in the city of Hamm, forgetting to bring his Picasso ceramic sculpture with him.
Valued at at least €10,000 ($11,351), the work is a 10-inch tall ceramic jug from Picasso’s “Owl Series” and was made by the artist in 1953. Police say that the man immediately reported the loss, but the jug remains missing.
