The Palais de Tokyo welcomed 160 nudists.

For the first time, the Paris contemporary art museum opened to nudists Saturday, for select visiting hours during a one-off tour. Nudists are enjoying a resurgence in the French capital, where the Naturists Association has roughly 88,000 members, according to Reuters. The Palais de Tokyo is the first museum in Paris to allow its nudes to be seen in the nude, but art-viewing is just one of many experiences that nudists argue should should accessible sans-clothing. “The naturists’ way of life of is to be naked,” said Julien Claude-Penegry, the association’s communication’s director. “Culture is part of our daily life, and this is a special opportunity.”
